Amanda Polacek

In her role as Director of Operations and Marketing, Amanda works closely with the President on many economic development activities including business recruitment, retention, expansion, and property development. She is also charged with marketing Buffalo County's enviable quality of life and many positive economic indicators.

Amanda holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a master's degree in business administration from Capella University. Before joining the Development Council, Amanda served as the Marketing Manager & Volunteer Coordinator at Kearney Regional Medical Center. Her professional journey also includes meaningful contributions at the Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce and the Nebraska Community Foundation.

Amanda and her husband, Nate, are both proud Kearney High School graduates, and the parents of three little Bearcats. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys reading, golfing and spending time with friends.
